  8. after just seven seasons in the NFL.

  10. After playing college football at the University 
  11. of Kansas, Gale joined the NFLΓÇÖs Chicago 
  12. Bears, in 1965. In his third start, Gale scored 
  13. four touchdowns in a game against the 
  14. Minnesota Vikings. On December 12, 1965, 
  15. against the San Francisco 49ers, Gale had 
  16. one of the best days a football player has
  17. ever had. He tied a record by scoring six 
  18. touchdowns in one game! In all, Gale 
  19. gained 336 yards that day by running,
